St. Francis of Assissi
Feast of St. Francis of Assissi is celebrated by Mother Church on October 4th. He is the founder of the Franciscan order and the patron saint of animals, merchants and ecology.
Making liturgical living a part of our lives means there are times when we do celebrate feasts on time. Like the edible rosary on the day of the feast. Whereas, most times we just do them eventually and we usually just use what is available at home.
Story time:
We have been listening to a lot stories about St. Francis to make it a bit more interesting spend some time watching some stories about St. Francis there are many versions available.
Craft inspired by St. Francis of Assissi:
So here’s an activity based on St. Francis and his love for animals. We stamped okras and made a forest with a river and put animals in it. Don’t miss the lion sleeping on the tree
We also tried a St. Francis inspired collage and you simply cannot miss the animal shaped dark chocolates we made for snack time.
By all means, visit our shop for saint inspired gift items for making liturgical living more fun.
What are the the things you do with the kids? Share with us so we can learn too.
We have many amazing feasts and activities prepared for the month of October. Don’t delay any further visit and make sure to have lots of fun with your little ones.
