After the whole lead up to Christmas, it all gets over on Christmas day?

Nah… It continues 12 days after till 6th Jan.

The Church celebrates Christmas season from Christmas Eve to the Baptism of the Lord, which is usually the 3rd Sunday after Christmas. So hold on guys no need to take off your Christmas decorations yet, listen to the Christmas Carols and enjoy the cakes and continue to celebrate till Epiphany.

Here’s some fun ways to keep the joy of Christmas going:

1. Countdown to Epiphany with this free tracker printable.
2. Bring the Kings/Magi to the Crib: Let the Kings reach the Manger today to meet baby Jesus. Sing “We 3 kings” and come in procession.
3. Epiphany blessing of your home: Blessing the door of your home on Epiphany is a tradition which many Catholic families follow. The only thing u need for this is a chalk which you may take to the church and get blessed by the priest. The epiphany door marking consists of the symbols of the 3 kings and the numbers of the current year. So the marking for the year 2022 will be 20+C+M+B+22. The C, M, B which is the initials of the 3 kings also stands for the Latin blessing Christius Mansionem Benedicat which means “May Christ Bless this House”. The blessing prayers is  here
4. Epiphany worksheets include coloring sheets and fun activities to understand the meaning of the gifts.

8. Gifts for Jesus: Make a poster with kids about things they can give to Jesus this year. It can be part of their New year Resolution.
